Rain or shine!! We will be outside on the softball field or inside with Gym depending on the weather!

Saturday, September 27th.  8:30am-1:30pm  Cost: 35$.  You can pay and register, at the camp.  See You there!!

JV Tournament

We have the information for the JV tournament and they have been added to the schedule. We will be playing all games at Cottonwood Complex on Friday and Saturday, April 11-12th.

Games Friday are scheduled for 4:30 vs CopperHills Blue and 6:00 vs Murray

Games Saturday will be determined by Friday results.  All Herriman girls will be attending all JV games.

We are currently 2-0 in Region and very excited about our season!! Go MUSTANGS!!!

Blue & Red Game

We are planning to play an inter-squad game today at Herriman at 3:30.  We will also be taking pictures and signing permission slips for the St. George trip.  We need at least one parent there with a photo ID.  We have also scheduled physicals for after the game with our "team doctor".

In case of bad weather, we plan to continue the game in the Gym.  So, plan on playing either way.

Additional Gear order form is also due today.  Please let me know if you have any questions or you want to order some Herriman Softball gear.  I plan on putting in the order tomorrow.

Player Fees:

These are all estimated fees and are subject to minimal changes-

1.          District Participation Fee- $175

a.  Pay to front office AFTER you make the team. DUE by March 5th. Bring receipt to Pam when paid.

3.          St. George- $250

a.         Includes a school bus to and from tournament, 3 nights of hotel rooms, and travel insurance.

b.         DUE by 3/11/14 Bring receipt to Pam when paid.

4.         Spirit Pack- $180

a.         Includes: 2 T-shirts, Hooded Sweatshirt, socks, ear warmer, sleeves, game day pants & belt.

b.         DUE 4/4/14 Bring receipt to Pam when paid.

First Cuts

Thank you to everyone who came out in the warm weather to our try-outs today!  We have so many talented athletes at Herriman.  Here is the list of the girls we would like to return for more try-outs tomorrow.  We are planning to be outside at 3:00 (or as soon as the middle school kids can make it). If the weather is bad, we will move the try-out to the gym at Copper Hills Middle School from 3:00-5:00.  We are planning to keep a smaller team this year, so be prepared for more cuts tomorrow.  Again, THANK YOU to all who came today!

Try-outs!!

It's here!!! Try-outs will begin on Wednesday, February 26th.  We are planning (hoping) to be outside. If outside, they will begin at 3:15.  Come prepared for both indoor and outdoor tryouts.  If we are unable to be outside, we will post the time and location as soon as possible.  Listen for updates at schools and check this site for current information.

If you did not attend the try-out meeting and sign and receive the necessary forms to try-out, please see Coach Heidi McKissick BEFORE try-outs.  She is in room 1047.

Open Gym/ Try-out Update

We only have three more days of Open Gym! As we wrap things up, we are going to split the girls in age groups for the rest of the time.  We will have the 5th-8th graders come from 6:30-8. And the 9th-12th graders come from 8-9:30.  This will be for both Monday and Wednesdays. (No open gym on the 17th)

Try-outs will start on WEDNESDAY,  February 26th!!! Time TBA

If you are interested in trying out, there is a MANDATORY parent's meeting on Wednesday, February 19th at 8:00pm.  We will just gather at the gym. 

Also, we are selling our famous Cookie Bouquets.  They are selling for $20. If you are interested in selling them, $10 of each bouquet will go to each girl individually.  We are hoping this will help ease the burden for those who make the team and are asked to come up with money very quickly for the St. George trip and Spirit Pack.  So, if you you are interested in trying out and would like to help us with our fundraiser, please contact us ASAP. (returning players will be required to sell 10)

Open Gym New Times

There is a slight change to the Open Gym times. Mondays will continue to be the same, with all girls coming from 6:30- 9:00. Wednesdays will be reversed, with the 5th-8th graders coming from 6:45-8:15 and the 9th-12th graders coming from 8:00-9:30. Thanks for all of your help and hard work.  See you there!

Open Gym Times

We had a great turn out for Open Gym yesterday!  If anyone is still interested in coming, you are more than welcome to join us.  The information is below on the previous post.  The times have changed slightly.....
Mondays, we will the combining all age groups from 6:30-9:00 and the pitchers and catcher can stay after and pitch.  On Wednesdays, we will have the 9th-12th grader come from 6:30-8:30 and the 5th-8th come from 8:00-9:30.

Also, an Easton representative will be coming on Wednesday the 15th to trade in 1-2 year old bats. He will be giving credit towards a new one.
